Seica S.p.A., an innovative and high-technology company which develops and manufactures leading-edge solutions for laser selective soldering and testing of electronic boards and modules, has achieved 35 years, celebrated with an international gala evening, with the employees of Strambino Headquarters (Italy, near Torino) and colleagues from the subsidiaries based in the United States, France, Germany and China.
The evening was preceded by 3 days of technical/commercial meeting to discuss business strategies, the demands of international markets and trends of the target industries.
Among these, ample space was dedicated to testing solutions of batteries and all electric vehicle equipment. The rapid increase in the demand for electric vehicles in the automotive market has led to the introduction of a set of new technologies and electronic components bringing new challenges for manufacturers, in terms of process and, specifically in regards to testing, where Seica boasts decades of experience in providing solutions. The Pilot BT tester, for example, is the new generation of Flying Probing solutions effectively addressing the requirements of testing electrical bonding between battery cells, in the context of an increasingly high-volume manufacturing process.
After 2 years of pandemic and virtual relationships, reopening doors and meeting the people with whom Seica has shared its outcome and commitment of these 35 years, was a moment of great emotion and entrepreneurial pride combined in the fact of being, also in 2022, among the “Top 500”, the best 500 companies of Torino and the Province.
During these 35 years, the combination of great experience in electronics technology and the deep know-how of industrial processes, enabled Seica to become a global provider of test solutions and strategic partner for many companies in the major industries, with an installed base of thousands of systems in 4 different continents.
The Seica Group, with 4 branches and 5 associates, outstands today with the strength of a solid and structured group which, even at such a profoundly complex and ever-changing time as this, is capable of innovating and adapting to changing demands of the markets. This strength comes from having constantly invested in research and science, in experimental projects and often pioneering new pathways. Among these projects we surely find Canavisia, a company established in 2014, inventing and promoting environment and facilities monitoring solutions: ranging from industrial environments, collecting and digitizing data in the full development of Industry 4.0 concept, to commercial and institutional environments, providing solutions for attendance and air quality, and optimizing the smart use of energy. Canavisia also provides smart and sustainable solutions for urban decoration and home domotics.
2021 was a successful year for Seica Group. After coping well with the global hardships of 2020, the turnover recovered and exceeded 46 ME; the number of employees worldwide reached 300 resources, of which approximately 200 in Strambino headquarters; moreover, the Company is always seeking for young talents in the fields of Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanics and Information Technology.
All the solutions offered by Seica to its customer base are gathered under the heading Next Series, the forward-looking generation of systems, focused on the green aspects, while monitoring all of the essential parameters of manufacturing and predictive maintenance.
This major achievement is for Seica and its founders, Barbara Duvall and Antonio Grassino, also an opportunity to thank all customers, partners, agents, the direct offices and staff throughout the group for their energy, their ingenious work, for their passion and trust they shared over the years, making possible the consistent growth, the pursuit of excellence, and the highest standards, which made the Company a global leader in the electric testing industry.
